Determining Trichome Readiness: Advice on Equipment or Techniques

I absolutely suck at harvesting and using the mini 🔬to determine trichome readiness. I don't have a steady hand, and it takes me forever to see if it's clear, milky, or amber. I see a lot of people on here with some ridiculously amazing up close photos of even their trichomes.

Jewellers loop on Amazon are cheap. USB microscope are cheap and great for the not so steady hand. Stacks some cups and stuff to raise it to the height. I use the jewellers loop with my phone and it works great for me.

Sideways colas..foxtailing?Hi. Just wondering if these look ok. Maybe some nute issues but nothing looks terrible to me. The buds feel pretty dense. Maybe I did LST late and kept the cola low. Are these foxtailing? Is this a problem? This is my first every grow so just looking for input. Thanks!

Plant too small/ Flowered too early?Surprised to see this little runt flower so beautifully when shes so short and stumpy. Anyone know potentially how much bigger she can get?? Shes about 10cm tall but so far has by volume most flowers on it. Could this be an autoflower or a stunted dwarf that flowered Early?
