For me, the best way and the one that has always worked 100% is to leave the seeds in an airtight container with damp paper towels. Damp but not to the point of accumulating water. By the third day, they are always ready.

Seed floating in the water good or bad quality ?I use to germinate with 16/20h in a water and then straight in the soil. Everyone know seed which float on the water should be not a GOOD QUALITY seed but this basically it’s happening with all the seed bank and the result is 90%always positive. Any infos ??

Help with seedlings falling over and dying :/Could someone please look at my two seedlings and tell my why they are falling over? I planted four golden goat seeds, which all sprouted. Many of my attempts don't make it past seedling.What could be the problem? Done 3 grows now. Each time germinated several seeds. I can almost always get a tap root but when I plant, many never sprout and those that do sprout, half remain small and never grow past 2 little leaves. I'm always growing autos.

Sprouting delay. How long do I wait? Are lights on and fans running important while waiting for germinated seeds to sprout? Stem damage? Or just dried husk stuck on stem?Does the husk or material on plant 2 look like it is damage on the stem to you or is it just dried seed husk stuck there? I tried to be as careful as I could removing the seed shell that was still partially closed over the leaves that were fighting to open.
