If you go to my diary "cannabis conundrums", and in the germination week, I have posted a tutorial on growing seeds in small rockwool cubes and you might find this interesting. Feed with a weak nutrient solution (one fifth strength) once the seedling emerges and opens its cotyledons. Hope this helps,............ Organoman.

hey there FistingNuns, you really do want to soak your cube, probably in a buffering solution or at least water. Usually you'll have your buffering solution also with a bit of nutrients. But the truth is that you really want to start feeding almost immediately , including with rooting agents . I use rockwool right now, but it's too keep a sterile environment, i really dont recommend it if you're not required to by your clients or your growing technique. Root plugs work much much better, and you dont need to feed for weeks not days. Hope this helps ! 🚀

A seed has enough nutrients to feed itself for the first few days. After that it will need nutrients. When I have used rockwool I soaked it in a very light dose of nutrients while I lowered the ph of the rockwool. Light dose is 20-30 ppm.

The best time to start feeding seedlings in Rockwool is as soon as the roots begin growing. Once you see the first set of cotyledon leaves emerge from the cube you should provide a light dose.
