Slow Growth, Healthy Plants?

SleepOnATitty
SleepOnATittystarted grow question 4 years ago
I have on 2 41w LEDS 38" away from the canopy. The top leaves are praying up, the lower nodes are drooping. I definitely haven't over watered these. Anybody got any suggestions? I'm starting to get annoyed.

Yes, bring your lights much closer, about 12-15 inches should be fine with those 41 watt LEDs. I agree too, they look rather thirsty/dry to me. You should be deep watering to run off each time you water then waiting until the top inch and a half has dried out, then deep watering again. Try to keep an even moist condition and water the whole pot from edge to edge, as this is where the roots will be heading, but will only do so if the substrate is moist. Deep watering is the only way to ensure the substrate is wetted, from top to bottom, as again, this is where the roots will be heading, and obviously they won't make growth if there are dry patches down deep or at the edge of the pots. Deep watering also helps to prevent nutrient salts from building up to toxic levels. It is much better for your plants to get a deep and thorough watering every few days, rather than a little bit of water frequently, which will encourage shallow roots that provide poor "anchoring" and poor nutrient uptake. You need your plants to develop deep and wide root system for best nutrient absorption and stability. Also, there seem to be a couple of weirdos, it will be interesting to see if they make it. Hope this helps,............. Organoman.

I agree with most of the answers thus far. They'll pick up their growth once that light is lowered to about 12-18"! Also, I think you're right on the money with how your waterings are now. You never want to overwater or underwater. Keep it up, they should be back on track in no time.

Drop your lighting down to 12-18", somewhere in there. I have a 310w led and the furthest they ever are away is 30" and that's when they're babies.

IMO the first 2 3 week the most important things to control for have a good and rapid grow is humidity temperature and air movement, your plant look healthy, i would move close the led like 30 40 cm watering 10% of the pot volume ( 15l pot = 1,5l water ) when u feel the pot lighter in weight so maybe 1 time for week. I have lot of paranoia on overwatering my plant so i keep a book note where i sign every day i give water and how much, trying to have a standard. is much more easy recovery from underwater than overwater and you can notice faster the under water status. hope you enjoy your grow keep the peace!
