Yes, to a certain extent, but not for long, just a final culmination of the chemical formulation of the trichomes, for about 12 hours or so and only while the plant is still damp and soft. Percentage wise, I would guess less than one percent of total trichome maturation continues after harvest.
It is a bit like making soup, once cooked it is "finished" but will always taste better the next day after allowing all the flavours to meld together and "mature", so it is with the trichomes, they have finished once the plants are harvested and photosynthesis ceases, but for a short time after harvest they will continue melding together into their final composition. Curing is about enhancing terpenes and waiting for chlorophyll to break down, a bit like "dry aging" meat, but these two things don't relate to altering the psychoactive cannabinoids within the trichomes, in the strictest sense.
