Early flowering, at the first signs of pre-flowers.
Unfortunately, if you want to pollinate your current girls, by the time the chosen plant produces male flowers, the rest of the plants will be nearly finished with flowering.
If you are keen to make male flowers for pollinating your next crop, this will be fine, as pollen, if kept dry and in the dark, will last 4-6 months without losing any vitality. Just don't put in the fridge or freezer, as moisture there will kill the pollen.
There are regular auto seeds available to buy, making sex reversal unnecessary if you have a natural male plant.
I have from personal experience, found breeding auto flowers not so successful, there seem to be too many variations in the genes to produce stable offspring, requiring many back crosses to stabilize the new crosses, meaning growing hundreds if not thousands of seedlings to find offspring with desirable traits and that will breed true.
Good luck, but I would suggest it is not worth it unless you have much space and lots of time.
Hope this helps,..........
