You could do 8 but I would go with 6 personally. More plants leaves you open to more problems, and I doubt you'll have trouble getting a full canopy with 6 so yield shouldn't be affected.

Second seed had been growing wrong way up.Turns out my second seed was growing upside down and the taproot had been growing towards the light for ~8 days. I've since transplanted and the seed doesn't seem to be growing much at all; although it has changed colour from being a yellowish hue to green. Is it likely a dud now5 years ago

I was wondering if it would be beneficial to plant it out into full ground by the end of this week. Weather is supposed to be 20+ °C by then.
