AirFlow Cuestion

NastOG
NastOGstarted grow question 4y ago
I know that normally the air flow is from the bottom up so that the cooler air enters and the hot one leaves efficiently, but in my country now it is winter and it is very cold, Can i reverse the flow from the top down to take advantage the hottest air?

It wouldn't make enough difference for temperatures I don't think and you're fan would be pulling out fresh air from the bottom as apposed to warm, older air that sits at the top.... Warm air always rises so it would be counter productive , I think

The traditional direction is the most efficient way to get the hot air out. I would keep your fan running in the traditional direction and direct the airflow down towards the floor.

Maybe run your exhaust back into your tent with a little mini radiator inside 👍🏻

Yes that sounds like a good plan my friend you can use small fan heaters to heat the room you grow in for you see temperatures going below say 23c else that is not optimal but think about turning the fans down the best way to test is if you see the tips of the leaves moving that equates to around 1m of air per min moving through your tent which is way more than enough. I would also turn your cold air intake fans down to try and preserve as much heat as you can with still keeping good air exchange i always say its much easier to warm a room up than it is to cool one down unless you have good ac that is haha best of luck anyway bro :)

Hi mate, as long as air is flowing through the grow space then there shouldn't be a problem. I would keep the filter high and duct to the bottom so you are still moving hotter air out. Keeping your growing space at the right temp. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing
