GrowCNanswered grow question 4 years ago I use multiple HLG 260 Rspec and run them at reduced power as opposed to a single more powerful light. I like spreading the light source out as it can provide more even illumination which would be a big help in a 8 foot long tent like yours. Multiple lights minimize shadowing and allows the light to penetrate deeper under the canopy. You can also hang them at different heights to better accommodate taller and shorter plants in the same tent. I also like the redundancy. If one big light dies you've got a real problem. If running multiple smaller lights and you loose one you can slide the others around and crank up their power to compensate until you can get the bad light fixed.
I'm using the 260's which are only sold in kit form. They are easy to assemble and the components are top notch but the dangling wires can look a bit untidy. Still, I love them and would hang three of them instead of one 650. If you don't want to assemble it yourself I'd at the 300's which are sold already assembled.
