I'm on week 7/8 growing Auto Sweet Soma. Been on 18/6 schedule, using Miracle grow, pH levels at 6.5 & moisture levels at 6ish. Plants are roughly 12 inches high. Is all this Ok & do I need to change anything in coming weeks once buds start? Thanks.

Also man, I meant to let you know, there are much better soil substrates out there as well. Just let me know, and I'll hook you up with some better options than that poison you're using now.✌️

Hey bud, just wanted to let you know, firstb sounds like you got some very good answers to your question already, and. organoman hit on one of your biggest problems. That's the "miracle gro crap" you're using. Listen man, that stuff is not made for growing cannabis. Miracle Gro who is owned by Scott's/Hawthorne, is affiliated with Monsanto's. Yep, weed killer! If you'd like to find out what you're dealing with there, google up Big Buds Magazine, and do a search on miracle gro. You'll find out that you're not gonna want to be ingesting that in any way, form or manner! Moreover, it totally screws up the balance levels of your pH, nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Small pots, and everything that the other members said are all right, and attributable to your problem, further, you may have stunted them during transplant, autos are sensitive to that. Your biggest, and most consequential problem is that crap! If you're looking for less expensive nutrients, there are many better options. I'd be willing to take the time to provide you with a short list just to see you stop using that poison! Those guys are our enemies man! Sorry to be so blunt, but if you want to grow good marijuana, it's not gonna happen with that shit! It will wind up costing you more money in the long run, more problems, and remember the old saying, "you are what you eat?" Same goes for what you smoke! Please! Do a little research for your own good. If you need help, you can get back with me in this forum or on chat. In fact, there's one link in the comment section of my profile that will take you on to others. Good luck man! Stay healthy, and once you find out the facts about that shit, you'll be a much happier grower!☺️✌️

That is a very long time for an auto to be in veg mode. If they hit 8 weeks without a clear sign they are going into flower I would switch to a 12/12 light cycle and grow them as photo period plants. I am concerned at the small size of your plants for two months old. It is hard to tell from the straight down picture but they look a bit stretched with a long distance between nodes (branch sets). That with the small size makes me think they need more light. I have a free light meter app on my phone which reads in LUX. If I divide LUX by 65 (the conversion number provided by my light manufacturer but should be closeish for a white LED grow light) I get an approximation of PPFD which is very useful for keeping track of light for your plant. During the bulk of veg I want a PPFD of about 400-600 with lights on 20 hours a day. I will vary the intensity to get the plants to the size I want. Less light (400 PPFD) if I want the plant to stretch a bit to make more room for buds or more light (500 or 600 PPFD) if I want to keep the plant compact. Then when flowering I'll go with even more lighting power. I agree with ORGANOMAN that your pots are on the small size. Personally I'm a big pot person. I've used 12L fabric pots and plants do OK but I got bigger plants and more yield when I went to 20L fabric pots. Since auto's (normally) are on a fixed schedule I start my seeds directly in their forever pot so there is no transplanting. It's not as big a deal for you since your plants are acting more photo so they have more time to recover from transplant shock.

18/6 is optimum, however, to be honest, for 7-8 weeks of growth, I would be expecting a bit more. As your diary is brief, this could be attributed to leaving them in small pots too long before you transplanted, but the size could also be attributed to your light. Being only 65 watt, lowering the light a bit could help with upping their growth rate. You could come down from 50cm to 30cm most probably, just check them every 20 minutes or so at first to make sure they don't get stressed, and if they look like they aren't happy with the lower light distance, raising the light back to 50cm should not be delayed. Seeing as how your light is only 65watt, I doubt it would upset your plants at 30cm. Once flowering is underway, with small "budlets" forming, switching to a dedicated "bloom/flower" type of nutrient is advisable, your plants will need less nitrogen than they do now, with an increased appetite for both potassium and phosphorous. If you continue with a similar fertilizer to "miracle grow", you will need to give your plants a good rest from the fertilizer for the last two weeks before harvest, so that the nutrient salts can be "flushed" from your plant, which is best done by giving only pure water for those last two weeks. If not done, your buds can have a harsh, metallic taste, that no amount of curing will ever remove. Hope this helps,......... Organoman.

I would leave autoflower plants on the same light schedule from start to finish, unless your struggling with high temps if so take a few hours off.

Hi mate, you're doing great. Autos like a lot of light so leaving it at 18/6 is perfect. The only thing different you do in flower is the amount of bloom nutes you need. Autos don't need as much as photoperiod plants. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing
