First time Coco coir. I neglected to check the pH before planting, and I can't seem to get the pH down from 7 to 6. I have tried rinsing with several gallons of 5.5 pH, no help. What is safe to add while growing? Thanks!

With my experience with coco the runoff is never in the absolute correct zone. If your seeing high just keep feed/waterings at 5.5 for your veg cycle. Cheers

Done that myself occasionally. I kept flushing it with ph 5.5 and it took a while to get run off right. I check run off by collecting 15% and ignoring it or and then collect 5% and check that. I find that way I get a better idea of what the soil is. 1st lot of run off will have a different ph then the last bit.

Epsom salt as fertilizer. Whats your take on this folks?Epsom salt will not release hydrogen ions in water so my guess is that it will thus not affect PH. Very high ppm on exitHi. Today first time decide to put 3-4 L of water and look at ppm out. Some growers advise not even check it, but i did and here it is: Fresh water only. Nute lock or nute deficiancy?had some yellow leaves start to pop up on one of the girls. Looks like a nute lock that we will address with a PH water flush and then slowly wrk them back up onto the feeding schedule. Didn't check my Ph and my guess is Ph went too high in the soil..
