Is it normal for my seedlings leaves to be praying so much? Never seen a seedling do this before. Using a ts600 at 20 inches.

I think that's mostly temperature and humidity related, tbh. Imo, super happy plants have basically leaves with as much area exposed to light as possible and sort of orthogonal to the light direction, you know, like completely facing it, but sort of flat in that respect. I had a bunch of seedlings do the praying thing, all of them almost exactly the same recently (about 30 of them), there should be photos of them in one of the earlier weeks in my "randoms I cooked diary" and I could only conclude it's humidity related (or maybe soil) because the air was super dry, but it wasn't very hot, and it's outdoor, they had good light. Maybe the plant bunching to preserve moisture...not sure. Shit, maybe it's even excessive light relatively, so it tries to expose a smaller area to the light.

@sir_isO Yeah I think you automatically enter when you answer a question. But I see people answering without really knowing but to answer for a point. I kinda bugs me when wrong answers are chosen with no way to respond to that. It gets a bit political, I use this as training to better and better diagnose and learn a lot from the experienced growers knowing a shitload more. Would be courtious if the other 'doctors' would either remove or repost their answer when they also see they are mistaken, we all are wrong sometimes. As an additon to growers question: You see the plant is bunched up. If you had abundant size for its age, I would say they are happy. But on this distance everybody here knows that during growing none of us put their lights on full power. Cause of bunching, light points and light stress and you want a little stretch to get some size in the plant. Normal internodal space in plants of this age is one to one and a half inch. Yours has not even a quarter inch between them. They dont have to, they heve mor elight than they need, result: plant gets bushy but not taller.

BioBuds answered grow question 13 hours ago "Remember some here are just giving answers to win competitions. " Are you serious dude? Thanks for telling me. Coz one guy gave me shit and behaved like an inbred retard when I corrected him about molasses (he reckoned it's only a sugar weed makes itself). I didn't know there were competitions associated with that. Shit, I've never even entered any GD competitions. And I won't bother, either. And yeah, considering the praying and what I had recently, I tend to agree with you about the light thing...I mean I kinda figured it could be humidity/heat related with my seedlings (coz it's very dry, like 10% humidity)...but that would explain why they cup so much in his case.

That is truely odd. Depending on who you ask, it's either super happy due to the light, or super upset due to the light. I would conduct an experiment: raise your light for a day and see what it's doing 24 hours later. If it's the same, then try increasing the light for 24 hours, and monitor check on the plant every few hours to see what it does.

20 inches is ok for a TS 600, you can do that if you can dim them, but why give them so much light, they do not need that much. The leafs are praying to protect themselves from the light. 400 ppfd is more than enough during veg. This is light at 50% on 18 inches. Ty it and youll see more growth. Now you see your plants are staying bushy...

More then likely too much light, download a ppfd/dli light measuring app and calibrate it to the light sensor on your phone to get a free way to monitor your light. Its not apogee accurate but good enough if you er on the side of caution. The other option is some sort of stress happening at the root zone, check ph/ppm/moisture imo. Peace
