Trying to set up this drip irrigation system for my Autoflower grow I have two autoflowers in 5 gallon pots I water every 3 days about a half gallon I'm wondering if someone could help me break this down on how much I should have this system watering my plants. Its max is 990ml.

Found it and had a quick read. So lowest time is for 1 hour and longest time period 60days. So your going to have to do a bit of trial and error here. Your going to have to have it on maximum amount 990ml and run it let's say every 6 hours for now, this is a guide as you will see how your soil looks after a feed. So normally you want the soil to dry a bit between watering and get run off when watering. For your thing to work your going to probably have to do frequent feeds. I notice you can use any container with it so I would drop a airstone in the water to keep as much oxygen as possible to the roots if your going to fairly damp soil all the time. Shame good idea for a device but the amount of water let's it down. Prob OK for small plants.

But if you think about it, wont you just have to fill the tank of the auto feeder more frequently than what you'd have to water the plants?

If it were me, I'd increase the circumference of the feeding tube that goes around the plant and try and get it to be an equal distance from the stem and edge of the pot. At a guesstimate If it were me I'd try 990ml every 1.5 days if you can do the half. If you cant I'd do 2.

It's going be hard to guess this. Does your machine hold more then 990ml of water or is this the highest amount of water it will let out in one go. If it the latter of the 2 that means each plant will get half that amount. Need a bit more info on the device.

Hi mate, better to water more less often. They dont like wet feet! I water my girls (similar size to yours) in 3 gal pots every 4-5 days. I water 3L. That gives 20% runoff. My temps are 24°C-27°C daytime and 22-23°c night RH is 50%-55%. Hopefully that info can help you tune yours. If I had to guess I'd probably say you want 4.5L every 4-5 days. Good luck with your grow mate 🙂

I water soil until I get run off. I wait till its about an inch dry at the top then water again until run off. I aim for 20% of what I put in for run off so if 1 plant received 1L I would want 200ml or more run off.

Should I have this watering less water but more often? Or more water less often? If someone could just give me a good starting point I'd appreciate it
