Introducing nutrients to seedlings? Using future harvest 3 part micro grow and bloom

I have 3 plants that are roughly 3 weeks since planted and want to start feeding nutrients. I’ve always seen “start at 1/4-1/2 strength” but future harvest has a guide for weeks 1-6 of veg and 1-8 for flower, week 1 us very minimal doses, should i go by the guide or lower dose?

The reply to your question is, NO don’t follow this schedule. First week at 500-700 ppm is quite ok but useless when the soil is brand new. The second week at 800-1000ppm is already too high. And the most incredible is exceeding the 1100ppm ... this is where your plants start to show the first signs of tips burned by nootz... as the soil is turning into an hypertonicity condition above this level. My best advice would be to suggest you to get an EC meter asap

If your tap water Ec is nice and low like Ec0.2 you can run your 1st week with that. The next week introduce your nutrient in the recommended ratios but probably 1/4 strength and when added to your water you have a Ec of 0.4 to 0.6 that will be fine. Then increase it week by week by about 0.2 but remember to do at least one just watering inbetween feeds. With an auto you probably wouldn't get much further then an Ec of 1.2 to 1.4 but with a photoperiodic plant you can get the Ec up a lot more the further through the grow you get. It's easier to correct a slightly under fed plant then a over fed plant.

Always build up, its easier to fix a hungry plant and a toxic plant. Hope this helps 🙂

Always lower let the seedlings get use to the nutrients. If you add to much you will do more damage than to little. Try 1/4 strength and see how they react. The seedlings are small still don't need much.👊
