Strange growth pattern

The Super AKs have a strange form. It doesn't seem to be the classic structure of a sativa dominant cannabis plant. Have any of you experience growth like this?

Yes, often. It doesn't really matter, I have always continued growing the plants and waited for the surprise that flowering delivers. Super AK is around one third Indica, you have just found those with the Indica expression rather than the Sativa phenotypes. It can be annoying, but usually reflects on the breeder, that they have not stabilized the strains genetics fully. If they are advertising these plants as Sativa dominant strains, which they are, the plants should be Sativa like in appearance and flower structure. No biggie though, the buds will still get you high. If you are keen on some super stable Sativas, try Ace Seeds, they have many awesome strains that are genetically well sorted. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Hi there, agree with B4RNS.It look like the classic sativa trait you want is not properly locked up in her.But if you grow around 5plants and one out of five should have the trait you want. That's why same strain diff phenotype.Happy growing...👌

Absolutely agree with you, this plant is a proper Kush dominant strain after looking just the first 4 pictures. The choice of the genetic is extremely important if you don’t want to experience unexpected growth. In your case, the Sativa traits aren’t locked down correctly in the genetic mapping of this phenotype. It requires years of studies in the law of inheritance and a grad in genetic engineering to lock down traits correctly on the first attempt. And normally such people don’t work in a Cannabis breeding lab 😉 Or you can also select the phenotypes during many generations, selecting each phenotypes from the same genotype years after years, like long time established seeds banks have done since the 90’s and before. 😊 Here is a great and interesting video to give you hint of Mendelian laws of inheritance: https://youtu.be/9dHBTckFvME

I had two plants of the same strain from the same breeder look quite different. It's the random fun of genetics. Many sativa hybrids seem to have a lot of indica influence in their size and shape.

Hi—- all the time. Phenos from “European” seed banks almost never look like the original IMO. Prune it and let her fly. Good luck ✌️🏻💚🌿💨
