Fungus Gnat root problem??

Plants are looking very sad. Wilting quite a bit not just the leaves but some stems as well. Thinking root rot. I do a pretty good job of waiting for the soil to dry and signs of dehydration. So i didnt think it would be from overwatering. Thinking fungus gnat larvae?

I dont believe ot to be a watering issue. I wait for all the signs of dehydration. In my research fungus gnat larvae will eat the roots of the plants

If you've got fungus gnats I did the following: Get some nematodes SF and water a TINY bit into your soil (get them online or in a garden centre) about and will last ages if you store in fridge Then get some Diatomaceous earth - about for a big bag and dust it on the substrate when it is dry - don't need loads but it rips the hard exoskeletons open and dries them out. They will be gone in a week.

It is underwatered. Chronic dehydration. Make sure to fully drench soil and let dry 3-5 days usually.

Hi there, it looks like the sign of dehydration/underwatering to me because of the lifeless wilting and bone dried soil.Fungus gnat are yes love wet soil. But they can't seriously affect the roots of the plant like yours.Give some water and they should be fresh up.If you are still seeing some fungus gnat, you can cover the top half inch of the soil with sand.Fungus gnat can't crawl in sand and put yellow sticky tape around the pot for additional protection.Happy growing... ✌️
