I think I found a nice easy way to freeze dry. I take a half gallon mason jar full of weed that's been drying for 5 days capped. Put it in the freezer for 45 minutes. Then take the out, take the cap off, and use a USB fan to pull out the moist air. What do you guys think?

This is pretty interesting, I have never actually heard anything like this before. I'm always trying to take in new information and learn. Thank you for sharing this information. I actually press rosin so I don't store flower very long and I press immediately after curing.

There's a company called cannafreeze that does this on a commercial level that uses machines that cost a truckload of money freeze drying the weed. I've just stumbled onto a cheaper way to do it.

Everyone's so concerned about high THC. When you drink do you prefer grey goose or everclear? It affects the taste and smell of the product. And no it does not lose anything. If haven't tried this exact method as I described don't knock it. Take one bud and try it.

I think you are kidding yourself. This technique has questionable methodology which I can't see really achieves anything. Freezing buds ruptures the plants' cells, damaging trichomes and terpenes. Each to their own, but I do believe you are ruining your buds by doing this pointless exercise. Well, you did ask for opinions, good or bad.

I don't know how it works exactly. All I know is it does work and in sticking with it. Just thought it was pretty amazing and was wondering if anyone else used this method.

When you freeze the water in the plants will be frozen where it is in the plant. Most humidity in the air will condense and freeze onto the container or plant as frost. Taking the jar out of the freezer and blowing warm, humid room air inside won't accomplish much. You would be better to just leave the flower on a cookie tray, uncovered in the freezer. It will freeze then over time the ice will sublimate away. A small fan in the freezer blowing over the frozen flowers might speed the process.

I run the fan for about ten minutes which imo removes the moisture, then repeat several times till stems snap. Then finish curing from there. Imo it's just a quicker way to the finish line without losing taste or potency. It worked for me.

Won't you be replacing that air with warm humid air in process?
