Early flowering auto?

SugarBoogers

Flowering at such an early age? This little lady is starting to produce little tiny bits of bud. A bug had munched on a few of the baby leaves and it stunted it. Is this what caused it to flower at such a little size? She’s maybe 3 inches tall.
Solved
Buds. Too few

Crappy auto flowers! Autos start flowering at between 3 and 5 weeks of age, regardless of size, and this is not due to bugs or anything else, just purely the age of the plant. If you are interested in getting decent yields from genetically stable and well sorted plants, stick with photoperiod fems and you will never get 3 inch seedlings flowering, especially if you grow outdoors. Autos really need to be grown indoors with mega lights, an 18/6 light/dark schedule and probably hydro or coco coir (pseudo hydro) to get any sort of acceptable results, - they really don't perform all that well outdoors. Fine if you are happy with 1-3 foot tall plants and a few grams of bud, but in the same time frame you can grow a 5-10 foot photoperiod fem that will give you half a pound or more! Hope this helps, Organoman. (and enemy of auto flowers!)

I agree it's just a genetic issue and it is starting to flower early. I just started growing autos and on my first run I had a plant start showing pistils 13 days after dropping the seed in water, it wasn't much bigger than yours. It grew up and I was able to harvest it (40 something grams) it wasn't a foot tall at the end lol... good luck 👍 and grow on

Autoflowers usually begin to show signs of preflower close to this time, if not a week or two later. She’s definitely a bit stunted. Not sure if you transplanted her as a seedling or if you sowed her directly in the ground. Autos aren’t big fans of being transplanted- they use to much energy to recover. He damaged leaves could have slowed her down a bit. Mother Nature also hasn’t been particularly kind this summer. At least here in New England it’s been nothing but clouds and rain. The forecast it’s just starting to be pleasant. All those things combined- but don’t write her off yet. She’s still standing with her battle scars to prove her worth. She has yet to hit and major growth. But that doesn’t mean it’s not possible. She may not be a monster. But she will be yours. 🌱

Nah—- it’s not the bug—- just a mutant! I’ve had this happen to me with autos before! Have a diary on one right now! It happens, nothing you did, but a goofy seed 🤷‍♀️🏼🤷‍♀️🏼🤷‍♀️🏼 Better luck next time! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨
