Small plant thin stems ?

Growing autoflowers in greenhouse in Euro climate. I’m finding that my plants end up with thin stems but of average height. Yields are small but only using 7gallon pots with water only. Any ideas on why that is ?

Fairly typical for autos outdoors, they really need to be indoors with 18/6. After a few seasons trying autos outdoors, I stopped growing autos all together due to results like this. I seriously don't believe autos have anything to offer. Feeding may have helped get better results, but still not a patch on real plants, - photoperiod fems! Cheers, Organoman.

You like like you are taking good care of your plants, it is probably the strains that you are choosing are not right for the crappy UK weather. Most of the market leading Autos want high light intensity to get the most out of their short life cycles. You want strains that are known to perform in the Northern hemisphere. Dutch Passions Frisian Dew is a favorite but there are many out there. Keep the faith, you are still getting a smoke at the end. Keep loving the plants as much as you can and you will still get your reward.

Could be a lot of reasons from strain, light, heat, nutrients. Usually this is the amount and intensity of the light.
