The pistils will turn orange and curl in multiple times during the flowering stage, this is an old school “old wives tale” (for lack of a better description) and doesn’t give you an accurate timeframe of when to harvest. You’re on the right track with the trichomes changing color. Milky white = more heady Amber = more body “couch lock” Waiting on percentages of white to Amber trichomes depends on what kind of high you personally enjoy. Prefer energetic buzzy weed? Harvest at Low percentage of Amber trichomes. Prefer a stronger body high and more of a relaxed couch lock feel? Let those trichomes go amber. The trick is not harvesting too early or the thc % will be quite low and you’ll get very little high from your weed which I can say from experience is quite the let down after the amount of time put in However, waiting too long and the trichomes will start to degrade as well. P.s 8 is the avg time for flowering, there’s plenty of strains that take a bit longer say up to 10 weeks, or less if it’s fast flowering.

@bostongirl17 I believe they are claiming from seed to harvest in 8 weeks. I know it says flowering time is 8 weeks but I thought they claimed it will be done and flowered in a guaranteed 8 weeks or a little longer. Sometimes up to 10 weeks. I thought Zkittlez auto was supposed to autually be one of the faster flowering autos out there, and most websites that actually know what there talking about say that autos usually take about 6-8 weeks to flower completely. Some closer to 6 weeks, and some closer to 8 weeks. I know there are also some autos that take up to 10 to 12 weeks like the very sativa dominant strains. If you go to google and ask how long from seed to harvest for zkittlez auto, they say 8 weeks to fullly mature and harvest from sprouting.

Thats the thing though...I am seeing some amber trichomes pop up on the actually buds and sugar leaves on the top buds. and a little lower down too. And the half top of the plant, the pistols have already turned about 30 percent brown and curled in, maybe more. I thought that they were saying it was 8 weeks from seed to harvest. ALot of websites make it seem like this.

The ILGM website has its flowering as listed as 8 weeks. Not seed to harvest in 8 weeks 🤔

Looking at your photos I’d say you’ve got a bit longer. You want all your trichomes to be cloudy. Some people like to also have some percentage of amber as well. When checking you trichomes make sure you are not looking at the sugar leaves. Those leaves existed long before your buds formed. You need to be checking the crystals on the calyxs (buds) Most plants- auto or not require 8 weeks of flower, excluding fast flowering photoperiods that tend to take closer to 6 weeks. 🌱

She is a Zkittlez Autoflower from ILGM. They claim 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest. I am in week 9 right now, going into week 10 in 2 days. In my opinion they are about ready in a few days...a week at tops. I have saw a handful of people run this strain on this site, and they went until about week 14 or 15, but in my opinion they harvested WAYYYY too late.
