Newbie here. My plant already has many large buds that are slowly changing color from green to orange. When can I roughly harvest, how do I see that?

Hi 🙋‍♂️ The best way is always to determine the harvest time by looking at the trichomes. Rule of thumb: as much milky as possible. Personally, I don't wait for too many amber trichomes, as it starts to get a bit sedative... I like to stay somewhat clear-headed... others might prefer it, depending on what you like. If you don't have a magnifying glass handy, you should wait until about 70-80% of the "hairs" on the entire plant are orange. Your Hyperion is about at the same stage as mine; I'm planning to harvest in about 3-4 weeks. Hope it helps 👊🖖

The optimal way is through the trichomes. Get a phone microscope online and you can take nice photos for your diary right away. I harvest when 10 to 15% of the heads are amber-colored, but that's a matter of taste. They should be milky and no longer clear; when all are milky but not yet amber, you have the highest THC content. If you don't have access to a phone or pocket microscope, you should pay attention to the hairs. At least 80% should be brown. But that's very inaccurate; some genetics are not finished even though almost all the hairs are brown. Either way, the bloom in the picture is not ready for harvest yet, so you'll have to be a little more patient. Best regards, I wish you a tasty harvest.

Hi! Neither the hairs are brown, nor are the buds fully matured. If you can be patient, not only will the yield be higher, but the flavor will also be more pronounced. Enjoy :-D

Hi, they don't look fully ripe yet, they definitely need another 2 weeks. Wait until your trichomes – those are the little things on the leaves and buds – when they are almost all properly milky, then you can harvest.

Still 2-3 weeks to go. Once there are 98-99% brown pistils/hairs, you will be entering the harvest zone.
