Noob Question, First Grow!

Where the pistils form is from a calyx and where calyxes cluster together and start shooting out loads of pistils is gonna be a bud. You will see that at some points on the plant you may have just a single calyx or two poking pistils out or at some nodes between leaves and branches low down you might get a tiny nug trying to develop but it wont get far and when you trim keep them in your stash for making edibles and oils. Your bud production sites will be quite apparent in another week or so and will keep chunking up until about 10-14 days to harvest. For harvest in a few weeks get yourself a good magnifying glass / pocket mircoscope / jewellers loupe (you need minimum of 45x - 60x zoom) so you can inspect trichome colour - general rule is: Glassy trichomes - not ready Milky 85% or so - ready Amber - thc degrading and becomes a sleepy stone. Depends on the high you like as to when you chop. Hope that helps!
