I am wondering why the southern side of my plant is so much more yellow than the rest of the plant?

My OG answer was just a sarcastic joke. I’m sorry. It sounded funny at the time.

Hi Rusty, got the same issue with my sweet afghan FV. You have to check carefully the entire branch, from top to the base to looking for rot spots or breaks. If the entire stem is ok and if your girl is planted directly in the soil (like mines) another possibility is a root problem. This fact could be caused by several reasons (incorrect watering, soil critters, competitive roots, and so on...) and IMO you can't do anything. Whatever the cause most likely this side of the plant will be less dense but will ripen sooner. Nice garden

Yeah I think @MrStinky is right. Maybe the plant has a slight N deficincy, but like he sad thats all right in this stage. N is a mobile nutrient so the older leafs shoud be "more" yellow then the new ones, because the nutrient is moved there. Beside that the ladys are looking healthy. Also mabybe because she was south facing she got more light and had a higher metabilisation rate then the others. As a result had more water demand and a higher rate of nutrient uptake. Since you will harvest soon I think the yellowing will not have an big impact on your yield or quality :) Really like your grow, keep it up and happy growing 😎👍

@Pappa_T...err...isnt south facing the sunniest side? Haha as the sun rises and sets the southern side would be the sunniest side of a house and (if unobstructed) your plant. Are you in quite damp conditions? If not, the girls dont look more than a couple to harvest and are either starting to cannibalise or you might be getting some normal deficiencies for their stage (there are plenty of leaves to support it). Liking your plan for harvesting by the moon - although the plants may not be quite ready by the 1st you still have a couple of weeks window before the plants start getting high tides again, maybe even upto say the 10th or 12th October would fall on your good side, even though you are waxing at that point it is still on your side.

Looks awesome dude, huge plant!! I wouldn't worry too much about where the yellowing is. Quite possibly some PH Issues or just normal die off in flowering stage. The plant will shed leaves that are not useful, perfectly natural. good luck and happy growing

It’s probably because that’s where the sun don't shine 🤣
