Hi guys, quick question. If I turn my lights ( 300W LED x2 for 6 plants) on and leave it on 24h is there any problems regarding the plants? Thanks

To expand on what @LeastExpectedGrower said Ppfd & DLI Photosynthetic photon flux density - how much light is hitting your plant. With autots you want 300-350ppfd for autos seedlings increasing up to about 620 top end in flowering on an 18/6 cycle to deliver approx 40DLI per day or 550ppfd on a 20/4 With photos you can ramp that up to like 800-900 in flower over your 12/12 cycle and 320-600 seedling through to veg DLI - daily light intake, the sweet spot for weed is about 40DLI to max power to growth scales - anything over 40DLI gives diminishing returns - the plant produces a LOT more when you increase from 30 to 40 DLI and no where near as much increase in yield when you go from 40-50DLI Weed needs a high DLI - some of my house plants need like 12 and they are happy as larry.

I agree with everyone here with a comment already. 24 hours is no bueno. Plus you get to save a little on electricity when it’s off. 18 hours is plenty of light.

Probably depends on your lights and the PPFD they can generate. Those are still pretty small so maybe 300 or so PPFD. Then I'd refer to a DLI chart or calculator. Too much light is too much of a good thing and you may stunt them, too little and they'll stretch.

I would go with the 18/6 as the girls do need some rest and they also use the energy gained by the light period to grow at night. 18/6 also is a couple hours of power saved on your bill, and time saved on use of your light. The reason I don't grow any autos...

Like @Creno said. Also, you have no recovery period so issues can compound without darkness. 18/6 or 20/4 is your way forward

Hi :) it's kind of debatable but it's doable. The downside to having no day/night schedule is that your roots won't grow as much which means that the plant will probably not grow to its full potential. Remember, a healthy and strong root system is the base of a big and healthy plant. I'd put it on a 18/6 or 20/4 light schedule if you're running automatic strains. Happy growing XOXO Cremo
