Hi guys! I have a question about breeding. I doing some research but can’t find what happen if I mixed a regular male plant with an autoflower. Obv it won’t be a fem but the ruderalis gene will be still there right? So will it be an auto but not fem?

I have done this...... Some will be autos, some will be "fast/early" flowering and some will be normal photoperiods. One cross breeding has lots of random gene combinations and it will take a number of back crossings to stabilize a particular trait, like auto flowering or fast flowering. Unfortunately the only way to find out what the new seeds will be is to grow them and wait the weeks/months for the results. After doing this myself, I gave it all away as a joke and prefer to buy my seeds from reputable breeders who have done all this hard work for me. Seeds made in the way you are describing will be "regular" seeds, meaning they have a 50/50 chance of being male or female and they will not be feminized, unless your pollen comes from a female plant that has been chemically reversed to become a male.

This is normally called a fast version. Half Auto Half Photo. Not to be confused with old fast versions that where 100% photoperiod plants that just finished a week or two before their peers. half auto/photo fast seeds can be a hit n a miss, Its almost always better to just grow the photoperiod version vs the fast unless you really need that 2 weeks cut off. If you use pollen from a male plant the sex will be reg vs fem. so 50/50 male vs female. You can use fem pollen and make Fem fast flowers. or Fem autos by breeding two autos together and reversing one of the females to make fem pollen. I did this with a few plants, it worked out great. To reverse a plant you need to use silver in the form of CS or STS, their are other ways but they don't work as well I find. I use CS but STS is more efficient, less applications. Good Luck!
