quality will be more about how you treat the material while processing, given common sense otherwise. if not rough, won't have green hash. jagged ice is another no-no tht will cause not-so-good contamination of chlorophyl.
watch the frenchy vids on youtube. everything importnt is in those videos, even if you want to do it in a more simple, less time-consuming way.
e.g. i just start with 10-12min cycles with portable washing machine - i use high for the heavier loads but not small ones.. more about pace of swirl that results. as long as you don't get that extra oily/goopy consitency or green hues, it's an "okay" process. you'll get at least okay hash.
use more bags at first, and keep the ones where you think there is a distinct difference... 25-120-workbag? 45-73-150-workbag? i liked what i got from 25u bag, but some do not. so 25u - 120u worked for me. The rest (>120u) was stuff that looked and smelled great, but could feel and taste a difference smoking it. Think strain impacts this greatly in some instances.
bubble hash is a sieve, not an extration. we are gently knocking trichomes off the outside of the plant. you don't want what is inside the plant to be released... that is where the green and overly-oily texture comes from. (it's difficult to say "oily" as thc is a lipid or whatever, so that extra oily goopy beyond normal sandy-at-room-temperature-look that we want...)
