Germinated in Jiffy Pellet this on came up in 3 days! I transplanted a little prematurely as the true leave leaves started to show. I put in solo cup and put under a ferry Morse fluorescent light I think it was a little too close and burned the first set of true leaves. I trimmed the burnt parts

This week I transplanted into a one gallon pot with FFOF soil and 20% perlite amended with two tablespoons of down to earth vegetable garden 4-4-4. After a couple days to recover from transplant I topped after 4th node. Two leading stems have just become noticeable today.

Last weekend I brewed a batch of organic nutrient tea. two gallons of water w/ two cups of worm castings and two tablespoons of high nitrogen bat guano. I also added two tablespoons spoons of cal mag and seaweed fertilizer and a table spoon of growers recharge beneficial microbes. As you can see in the pictures it looks like I have a little “claw” going and some mottling on the leaves. Not sure why the leaves are mottled but I guess the claw is a little bit of nitrogen toxicity. Next round I may only use one table spoon of bat guano and maybe half the cal mag. For now I’m just going to use spring water ph’d to 6.8 to see if she gets better. I transplanted the little guys and I think they are still recovering from a little transplant shock

What is the cause of the mottling on these leaves is it some sort of toxicity? Please look at my last diary entry (week 4) for info on recent feeding.

Hi @booberry39 it seems to me over-fertilization, just give water with PH adjusted to 6 for a good day and wait for your plant to recover before giving it feeds again. good luck mate 👍

This week I gave just plain water ph’d to 6.8 and allowed the plant to recover from the over feeding from last week. I trimmed some of the leaves that were mottled and crunchy (not much about 3 fingers of fan leaves). Also I have a tower oscillating fan that I think was causing slight wind burn so I turn it facing the wall and put the speed up so it’s still circulation air but not directly blowing on the plants. All in all the plant seems to be responding and recovering well to just water.

(Pictures are just prior to watering so that’s why plants are a little droopy) just water this week. Plant seemed to finally fully recovered from over feeding 2 weeks ago. I plan on potting all three up to 7 gallon pots next week and putting a Scrog net up

This week I defoliated a little bit just so it was a little easier to water. I transplanted all three into 7 gallon fabric pots. I also pulled all the peppers out of my tent and put up a scrog net. Two days after I transplanted I top dressed each put with a little less than a half a cup of Down to earth rose and flower. 4-8-4. I watered in with a tea 1 gal water to 1/2 cup worm castings 1 table spoon high nitrogen bat guano 9-3-1 with table spoon of seaweed fertilizer 0-0-1. Ph’d to 6.6

Is this a nitrogen deficiency? I just fed with an organic tea 2 days ago. See week 7 of my diary for exact recipe. How long to see her bounce back?

This is a Zinc deficiency. It happens when the pH is too high in your roots. You need to flush out the salts in your soil. Use water ph'd to 6.0. It should clear up in a few days to a week or so. Good luck

Just water this week. The big guy is still recovering from PH issues. Not sure why that one was the only one affected. I realized my ph meter from amazon was off by about .5. Anyways I got a new one just in time the problem seems to correcting. If I flushed the soil it would probably be quicker but I’m doing organic so I don’t want to lose all my nutrients

Is it too late to give these girls a hair cut? I’ve heard you don’t want to do this in flower stage as it may shock the plant and eliminate necessary mobile nutrients stored in leaves. Also does anyone have tips on an easy way to do this with a scrog net or should I remove it ?

You should be able to do it now still two weeks into flower would be the last time I'd heavily defoliate. And of course right again before harvest! Cheers and happy growing!

Gave them a hair cut last week. Just on the lower level. The pistols are really starting to to take over and I feel like I can see some bud development starting. I gave them a nutrient tea last Thursday and have just been giving water. They drink about every other day 1/3 of a gallon phd to 6.6. Sometimes they can go 2 days with out water but that’s pushing it

Why is this plant more yellow? Nitrogen deficiency? It’s been having issues like this the whole grow. Ph of water has been a steady 6.5 -I top dressed with some bat guano 10-3-1. Will that fix it?

Check you substrate ph. Could be bad even if you ph your feeds. Maybe a nutrient buildup? Its no N deficiency. Looks more like a secondary nute deficiency which usually shows up when you have lock outs

What’s going on here. Is this a zinc deficiency or K? I’ve been giving water ph’d at 6 to try to flush it. Any ideas on how to fix. I’m growing organic so I’d rather not do a true flush. Probably have about 3 weeks left.

All at top? Zn, if you've deduced it to these 2 possiblities. Your in soil, so bring that pH up closer to 7. You want it slgihtly acidic, though, so err on that side of 7 in soil. ~6.5-6.8. It's minimal, so it shouldn't impact harves in a noticeable way to your eye... maybe even within normal variance statistically too.

Hello If you're watering with tap water you usually shouldn't wind up with a zinc deficiency. Id suggest raising your ph just slightly higher into the 6.3-6.5 range and I think the zinc will become more available to the plant. Happy flowering

Day 48 of flower. The breeder says this finishes in 45 days. I’d say that’s pretty damn close considering a week “transition phase” I have a new microscope coming tomorrow to check trichomes. The jewelers loupe I have isn’t cutting it. Just water obviously the fade is getting there also but there are still some white pistils

When will this be ready for chop. I’m having a hard time getting a good look at the trichomes. I know the goal is 30% amber. One plant has very few white hairs and one has quite a few can I wait for the others to come to full maturity too. I plan on using same tent to hang dry.

Best thing you could do to make sure is just take a good close look at the trichomes on the buds. In some cases you could have about 50% amber trichomes and still have a few white pistils, so don't stress yourself too much with that. If you don't have a jewelers loupe I recommend you get one, cheap 8 bucks one will do the trick for now.. If you notice one is ready and others aren't go ahead and chop, don't let it go all CBN on you.. Good luck and Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

Very smooth smoke. Not too intoxicating either a very functional high. Probably could’ve used a little bit more light in flower to get some tighter buds but still ended up with some top shelf nug.
