I popped 6 auto seeds and 6 normal seeds 2 plants grew in 1 pot so I thought I'd messed up and split them in 2 separate pots thinking I must have messed up when potting them yet I now have 7 autos so it means 1 seed split into 2 plants is this normal and will both plants be ok

Rare but can happen and yeah usally a bad thing i would wait for them both to grow atleast like for 2 weeks and get both sets of fans and then chop one :) thats what I would do anyway lol though i probably too barbaric or you could just let it grow 2 plants are better than one right haha

I agree. When a sprout is badly mutated it never performs well. I have had one that I grew to maturity but it lagged several weeks behind and the yield was 25% (at best) of the healthy plants.

Had this happen once and neither one did any good. Personally I would get rid and pop a fresh seed.

I have had this happen a number of times and sadly they generally are mutants that don't flower properly or have a very high chance of being hermaphrodites. These days I now cull any twin seedlings due to my previous bad luck when growing twin seedlings. Hope this helps, Organoman. P.S. - I hope you have two separate grow spaces, as growing autos and photoperiod plants in one grow space is going to be a problem. Your photoperiod plants won't flower at 18/6 and your autos won't produce much at 12/12. If you are growing outdoors, then no problems, but the autos don't really perform that well outdoors in my experience.
