Hi everyone, my 2-day-old autoflower seedling is bending even though it’s under a Spider Farmer SF1000D LED, 60 cm above the pot in a 60×60×180 cm grow box on 16 h light. Is this normal, or should I adjust lamp height, ventilation, or support?
Hi,
don’t worry too much at 2 days old it’s normal that a seedling can lean a bit, it’s still searching for stability.
In most cases this happens because the light intensity is a little too low. With your Spider Farmer SF1000D at 60 cm, the light might be too far away. I would recommend lowering the lamp to around 40 -30 cm so the seedling gets more strength. Also make sure your ventilation creates a indirect light breeze this helps the stem become stronger. If it still leans, you can gently support it with a stick until the stem thickens. One more tip: for autoflowers it’s better to run 18 hours of light instead of 16, this will support stronger growth.👍
