18 weeks, but I'm not sure she's ready.

The plant is 18wks old. Leaves are getting yellow, some buds are so fat the branches bend under the weight. I'm worried some pistons are still white and I can still see some clear trichoms, but she's 3 weeks after the recommended date of harvesting. Do you think she's ready?

Use some string to hold up the heavy branches to prevent them from snapping, Can tie them to the support polls of the tent. Judge your harvest window buy a few things. Trichome colours. Bud density and Pistils dry back. Ideally aorund 80% of the pistils have dried back, the buds are nice and dense and the plant is drinking less water and not growing all that much, The trichomes are mostly milky with some amber in the mix. I like mine about 10% or less amber. The colour is degradation of cannabinoids. more amber, more THC getting turned into CBN. Even cloudy has some degradation. You may also notice the plant is fading in the leaves as well at this point. you can easily harvest before this, you may find it will have a different kind of high more heady vs body. Its also good to note some strains do no amber up really fast and some produce lots of fresh pistils that can sometimes make this harder to judge. I'd like to see more photos of the full plant. Some of the pics in the diary don't look ready other look ok. Hard for me to say how much time is left. It looks like your plant was really stretched out from lack of strong lighting, this is something you can try and fix in your next grow. Good Luck!

Another 10-14 days. Donm't believe what they advertise, there are too many variables that affect time frames.

You're never gonna see ALL your trichomes turn cloudy or amber, it's producing new heads as it grows fatter. The key is to examine your plant in different areas and take a consensus of your findings. Remember too that things will continue to ripen during your dry and cure phases. Pistils on your lower buds that doesn't fully develop will usually stay white and in some strains even top bud pistils don't brown much. Don't worry about breeder timetables though, they're generally best case scenarios that lean on the early side. Trust your instincts and what you see when looking at the trichomes. If you need to let your plants run longer, there are ways to support heavy branches like stakes or you can even tie them up from above.

It looks like you are on week 9 of flower. Some strains can defiantly go longer than this. It looks like you are pretty cloudy and I’m not seeing much amber trichomes. It would defiantly not hurt to cut it now but I like to wait for 10-20% amber. That’s just my preference. So if you feel the need to harvest then by all means I do not think you will notice much of a difference if you have waited a week or two more. As far as the breeders flowering time, it’s all fake in my opinion. I’ve never had a plant go at their time and have always been longer. I hope this helps.
