To be stealthy with a grow you would have to account for your energy, heat and smell. Smell can be hidden with proper ventilation and filtration. Energy usage is harder to hide depending on the grow equipment and size of the operation. Same with heat. If you are only looking to grow a few plants, that can be accomplished with a handful of components. A plantation as you worded it may be a big harder to hide.
