Hi what I tend to do is give autoflowers 24hrs light for the 1st few days of life. Then I knock my time to 20/4 in winter or 18/6 for summer. If they look like they may be going to big for your space you could top them while they still in veg or train them. If you go 12/12 you will be disappointed in the end result. Have a read up on low stress training and topping.

Hi I think that in autos 18/6 is better , with 12 /12 not only smaller plants but smaller buds you are going to get, if you want a small plant with big buds , some indica dominant will help or LST to control the high so you can shape her a bit 😉

18/6 or 20/4 is best for autoflowers. 12/12 will only serve to hinder her yield at the end and slow growth. Ant training will cause stress and hinder her yield. I have always topped my autos and think thats the most I'll ever do from now on as I also tried mainlining and it seemed to reduce her overall yield. You have to be quick with the training as she could flip to flower at any point but you usually have 4-6 weeks before that happens. Good luck and happy growing

I would go 18/6 with autos. If you want a small auto, you can get lowryders. They get about 12-16 inches tall. Not huge yielded but decent smoke.
