Really depends on what kind of nutrient you use. Liquid fertilisers are more direct than what I am used to. Give as need I would say with those. Water when substrate is dry. Same for most plants. Sometimes organic fertilisers prefer a damp substrate. Letting it go completely dry can kill off beneficial bacteria and fungi needed to break down nutrients. So, do as you are doing as looking at you diary, the plants look awesome. Great job!! Good luck and happy growing
