When and how to flush ? Top buds ready ? lower buds still immature ? (hydro)

I'm a bit confused because all of my ladies have new calyxes and pistils after having had previously many issues. The buds exposed to the light look nearly ready but the trichs down under are not white enough. When to flush ? Can my plants stand an extended flush and still ripe?

hey there MC, new calyxes are totally normal, there is no indication by them of ripeness . white calixes sometimes turn after the chop, sometimes not. it really doesnt matter at all. this plant looks a quite ready to me, but again i wouldnt do an "extended flush" that simply doesnt exist in hydro. 12hours is plenty 24 hours max. you're ready to chop any day now. hope this helps ! 🚀

buds will mature further up the plant faster then the lower ones.
You could harvest the top bit when your ready and then the lower in a week/few days time.
Flushing is a hot topic. I don't personally flush. but if you do, I hear its one to two weeks out from harvest.
so start it if you want to chop in a weeks time.

I would flush her now. In a week cut off branches that are ready. Then either keep flushing until rest is ready or try a mild bloom formula for an week or so if you think they will need it, then flush and harvest the remainder. Good luck

How to reduce yield? (without reducing quality)Can I prune down to 3 or 4 colas? When? Or better to let it grow normally and compost the extra? I've found it too easy to grow way more than I can use.
