Auto-flowering plants do not flower. It has now been 12 weeks and the white beard is only faintly visible on the nodes, and this has been going on for about 2 weeks with no signs of flowering progress. The light is 16/8.The variety is NL.What is the cause?

Auto flower genetics are a little wonky compared to photoperiods(which themselves can be far from perfect depending on the breeder)... they probably don't get stabilized as well and have larger genetic pool to begin with since you can't clone them. Looks like those ruderalis traits you were hoping for fell more on the recessive side.

"white beard"? if it grew white hairs, then it is flowering. If you only see "preflowers" at the node, then you probably have a photoperiod despite what it was sold as.

Try switching to 12/12 and maybe upload some pics, there might be something your missing we might recognize. Good Luck!
