Usually ph in a nutrient mix will rise over time. There can be two causes of this. Firstly, nutrient salts can interact with one another causing ph to drift upwards. Ph down especially drifts over time, so I make corrections the next day after mixing. Make sure you are not noticing significant salts floating as flakes in the mixture. Another factor can be bacteria. Bacteria feed on the same compounds (eg. Nitrogen) as plants, and a nutrient res is a great place for them to make a home and multiply. Bacteria will then cause ph to drift upwards. In high number you will notice them via their smell (hard to describe, slightly fishy maybe). This can be limited by keeping the res as sterile as possible (cleaning if surfaces between mixes), keeping it somewhere cool and dark, and by adding something hydroponic safe that kills bacteria such as h2O2/hydrogen peroxide. I cannot keep my nutrients under 70f, so I add 2.5ml/gallon h2O2 32% and it limits the ph drift. Just be careful if you track down concentrated h2O2 as it can cause chemical burns if not handled carefully. Happy growing 👍🌱

Clean it out, keep it cool (if possible) and add hydrogen peroxide at .75ml/l for a 30% concentration. I advise against wound care hydrogen peroxide as it's not designed for agricultural use, but if that's all you can find you can dose it at 7.5ml/l. The 30% can be found at your local grow store, just handle it carefully. Also be careful when mixing nutrients adding Cal mag, then base, then boosters in that order to the res to limit precipitation of the salts. Keep a 5 gallon or 20 litre res and run an airstone and airpump at all times to keep things mixed and reduce bacteria as well. But start with the h2O2.

I would mix the nutrients before you were going to feed the plants. I think there are several factors happening here that include room temperature and Co2 levels and the acidic properties of the nutrients you are using. If you’re going to be pre mixing that much water to have it sit for that long you will run the risk of the ph levels fluctuating and having to adjust the ph before a feeding no matter what in my opinion.
