How to move seedling close to sibling

What’s best way to remove the runt of these two to a different container? She’s a little rough but still has a chance I think. Feels like shouldn’t leave her in there to compete with sister.

There are a few ways to do this. all of them carry risk. 1) just pull it out and if the medium is light enough the roots will only get moderate damage. but its a high risk of failure and the plant your removing will be stunted for a bit or not make it. 2) using a bade or knife, cut right down between the two of them. and then transplant it out by digging down and scoping it up with your hands, filling in the void with more potting soil. The risk with this option is you don't know where the root system has explored yet and it might also chop some of the other roots from the bigger plant. but typicality the main tap root tends to grow straight down first before exploring out sideways, the earlier the better before roots get to big. 3) dump the pot out and pick out each of them and re pot them. lot of stress with this option. I do this when I'm working with my garden outside and loss of some plants is accessible. I'd go with option 2, if you really want to keep it. or just pluck the other one if your not sure if you want it. different phenotypes are fun to grow out. the 1st option is least stress for the dominate plant, high stress for dwarf. the 2nd is potentially equally stressing for both plats depending where the roots are. and the 3rd option is guaranteed equal stress for both. Best of luck

I’d basically just turn the cup over and on an table or something just slowly loosen up that soil and root mass and gently pull them a part and slowly work the soil apart. Roots will break but it’ll be fine.. do it now or sooner than later cuz they will begin to really tangle up soon
