If you don't have a loupe, you can wait until the calyxes swell and then give the buds a week, this should be around the time the thricomes are mostly cloudy, the hairs will recede and many (if not most) will have turned yellow (or orange)

I would guesstimate about another 3-4 weeks. Patience is really important at this stage. You can go by breeders timeframe or pistol colour but both can be very inaccurate. The most effective method is to get a jewellers loupe or a microscope, if you have shaky hands like me lol, and inspect the trichomes. When you see cloudy heads changing to amber/gold/brown, it's reaching peak harvest. So that would be the max THC possible. After the peak window, which is about a week, THC breaks down into CBN and gives more of a couchlock stone. Happy growing and peace. :)

It depends on what you are looking for. For the highest thc then you want your trichomes to be all cloudy. I personally chop my plants at the very first sign of Amber trichomes. I use my smartphone and take pictures in zoom and then look at them for amber.. when you see amber you will know.
