Plants are never taller than 13-15"? Even after adding a 2nd light (in 3g pots in a 3x4)! Tried both topDressing

After growing 5-6 diff strains (all FB and Meph) all my grows top out at maybe 13-15" tall. Are my lights (2x Maxsisun PB2000 pro) holding me back? Or is 3-4 too many? I'm in a 3x4 in 3g- total 430w or so. Added a 2nd light but still growing bushes. 😖 Add another 100w+? THANKS!

Don’t listen to these guys.. it’s autos. Ruderalis never grow past what you have already. If you want to have bigger plants you need to run photos. As for the 24/0 cycle. Some swear by it other say rest is needed. Me personally for autos I run 20/4

I'm assuming your lights are LED..? I found going to LED from HPS my favorite Indica dominant strains just didn't put on any height or stretch so I now grow hybrid varieties that do. I only grow 1 plant per 6 sq foot so this was very important for me. I only grow regular photoperiods too, Mephisto are all Auto strains right? I've never grown them personally Maybe buy some more beans and check the specs on their growth rates when deciding what to get. Good luck

Get bigger pots. Try a Photo in a 7 gallon pot, veg it for 6 weeks and it will fill that room on its own. 1 photo plants will yield more than all those Autos put together. But if you want to stick with Autos then 5 gallon pots is prob the smallest you wanna go for a bigger plant. And dont top em either. Try Your fav strain so far in a 5 gallon fabric pot and dont top her at all.. just try it. Also run 18/6 the whole way from start to harvest. if you have good quality lights, and enough of them (and you do lucky enough) then the pot size is usually the only limiting factor. So dont top her or HST her at all.. You can tie her down if you want but the idea is to let her grow her own way and you just guide her gently with some ties and see what she does. Thats your benchmark and now you know what that strain will do...now you try topping if you like just once or some more extreme LST and see if you get better or worse results VS the natural way.. And you tweak it from there bro. You gotta let em grow out at least once in a bigger pot with the space to grow to see what the strain can do before you go trying to tweak it with training and topping or start changing up your lights and shit.

Never grow at 24/0, cannabis NEEDS sleep to function properly. 18/6 is optimal. Without sleep, plants can not have a correctly functioning metabolism or complete their photosynthesis. If you are after yield, forget autos and go to much superior photoperiod feminized plants. Trust me, you will never grow another auto once you realize how much better photoperiod plants are!

Hi there brother, there are a few things I noticed after looking over your diary, please note when I mention things I try to reach optimal growth there is no right or wrong way, "Weed" is a weed, after all, it will grow in almost any conditions, what we look to achieve is optimal growth and balance within the 9 cardinal rules of plant growth, If one cardinal rule is hindered at 10% then all other plant mechanisms will be hindered to the 10%. The plant is in essence a production chain, Night schedule is equally important as Day and must be included, as above so below, I have no idea wtf 24 hours does to the Calvin cycle of the plants but it cannot be good. *Dayshift is for photosynthesis and storing as much energy in the stems/leaves ready for transportation @ night. *Night are dedicated to root growth/expansion, distributing energies, emptying the tanks for another hard days photosynthesis. Optimal growth is achieved at LST leaf surface temperature of 87, Make your ambient (top of canopy) 84 (depending on season) giving the cushion to 87, anything above 87 will start to stress the plant and inhibit growth/avoidance look to have 100w per plant, off the bat id say its more than enough. Certainly overkill for a 3x4 but I run a bp4000 which is rated 5x5 flower in a 4x4, You should certainly be getting more from your plants. You will need to veg longer or push your plants harder, 5 weeks of veg is not a lot but id still expect a bit more, also look to increase pot size also, 5 gallon minimum for bags, 7 gallon for airpruners. Goodluck

My guess is too much light. You’re running 24 hours, no break. Which is when some biological processes take place.. not sure when they have the chance to do them when you run 24 hrs. Anyhow, it’s too much IMO, even if you were doing 18/6.. your hang height is at 18”. Find out what your DLI is.. I’d wager it’s too high. Autos don’t need this 1000 umols/sec PPFD for 24 hours or even 18 hours. Maxsisun is a capable light. I use two PB2000 Pro in my 8x4 for veg/clones/mothers. Adding light isn’t always the answer! Good luck man
