Aquarium supplies to remove chlorine - harmful?

Tropicalstorm
Tropicalstormstarted grow question 2 years ago
I've been giving my drinking water to my plant, as tap water here is almost pool water (sometimes the amount of chlorine excedes law). She's growing and so is her need for more, that'll become expensive if I keep it up. Are aquarium products that remove chlorine harmful?

Hello. I can't answer about the aquarium products but I can give you chlorine help. Letting the water sit for 24 to 48 hours will remove a lot of the chlorine. If you stir up the water and add oxygen it will break up the chlorine faster. Add a bubbler to the sitting water. Add Hydrogen Peroxide to the water. Please google for all it does for plants. If you run a DC current through water it will draw the chlorine to the neg pole. Look on YouTube: DIY alkalized and ionized water. Yes the water comes out alkalized but crystal clear and tastes great. Hope that helps a little. Chuck.

Just let your water sit in a bucket for 12-24 hours before giving it to your plant, by this time most, if not all of the chlorine will have evaporated and negates the need to use any other chemicals.
