Autos indoors with 7/11L pots work well to get between 15-30g per plant, and in a 1m^2 cabinet with 16/25 plants, you can harvest quite a bit. Autos outdoors depend on the month, but around 20L or more is good. I plant autos a month before the maximum summer sunlight hours in a 25/50L pot to get over 100g. If you do it during Easter when there aren't as many light hours as in mid-summer, 15/25L pots work well to yield between 50-100g. Feminized indoors depends on the vegetative time and the number of plants you want to grow, but between 7/11-25L works well to yield similar to autos. With the 25L pots, you can set up a nice SCROG and get 70-100g per plant or more. Feminized outdoors, it's recommended to transplant depending on how early you grow them in the season, but planting the same way as the autos from the previous example, 50L works well. If you germinate late, 25L is better, but if you germinate early in spring, you can use larger pots. For indoors, I would recommend standard pots; with the typical square plastic pots, you can get a very good root ball without spending too much money, plus you can fit more plants per m^2. For outdoors, Airpots or TexPots (fabric pots).

18 litre airpots are great for autos! 30 litre airpots (or bigger) are great for photoperiod plants.

I like the fabric airpots, but you will need to water more often with increased airflow to the roots.

Air pots or fabric. Roots need air as much as water.
