Yes getting a ph meter is very helpful. I would recommend staying away from the really cheap ones. You get what you pay for rings true.

you don't need to, but it help i personnally check my tap water pH every 6 month with colorimetric ph test (paper or liquid), it's rather stable around 8 so i just have to add 1 ml of ph down per 8l of water to reach 6,5 7

EC and PPMI read about EC and PPM. I have a meter that reads both, and it says my PPM is too low, and the number it gives for EC is like 1200 and the charts all have numbers like 1.2-2. WTF.
I ran out of pH strips but I know my pH is good, I used distilled water. What's everyone's thought?Week 7

Coco and Worm Castings - Does Total Dissolved Solids Matter?Does total disolved solids (TDS) matter when growing in coco, worm castings, and organic dry ammendments? Am I at risk of a build up of salts? I have seen 2700 ppm in my current grow, but are these simply not salts and therefore OK? Plants look good happy. TY5y ago

Added to much Calmag on my first feedingDid my first feeding today- of course I fouled it up. I added 3 tsps of CalMag to the gallon of water - rather than the 1/2 a tsp I decided on. Spraying plantsI have been feeding the plant with some extra Canna BOOST in the spray and applying directly to all plants and not just the leaves. Mix Dynomyco in water?I’m about to water my plant today. I haven’t used any Dynomyco since she’s been transplanted in this 5 gallon fabric pot.
Can I mix in some Dynomyco in my water and apply it like that or should I just top dress a little and then just water the medium? Happy growing!

What’s happened to my plantAre these ok, 1 looking burnt and the other has a white line through it?
