Problem Watering

Does anyone know what it mean when I water but the water is going straight through and into my tray at the bottom? I thought over watering was the problem but the internet says itβs because the soil is too dry π€― any ideas? Thanks

actually no one really talks about it but there is such a thing as a "proper" watering technique. Of course it's a bit more difficult than just dumping a shitton of water on top of the plant. what can happen is the soil gets compacted and cant absorb water anymore. try to water slowly using a drinking glass, and water like a few times, slowly, then go back and do it again after 20 minutes, that should hydrate your soil in a good way. at this age the plant doesnt even need that much water, the point is trying to get a nice wet dry cycle going. Hello,
It could be that if your soil is too dry, it will spit everything out. I recommend giving it little by little, letting it drink well at its own pace. Otherwise, all the nutrients will just wash away and it won't absorb them. Water a plant in 3 or 4 times.

Hey my friend :-) The floor was definitely too dry. If you pour water in at the top and come out at the bottom, it was a bit too dry :-). Then you should pour slowly :-). But don't worry, it's better to be a little drier than too wet ππ. Keep it up, it will be great. ππ

First time testing PPM and slightly panicked :cRunoff was at 2200PPM. I flushed her with 5L of pH 5.8 water. I got the runoff to 1000PPM where I left it. The pH was at 7 though and was higher than before the flush. Why is that? I always pH before watering. Also, is the flush going to cause trouble for her? I kind of panicked.6y ago

High ppm in drainageI flushed coco two times with 8-10 litres with CalMag (200 ppm) and it does not help. You can see in my comments to the last weeks of the diary that it doesn't matter how much ppm I water the plant, it is always 2-3 times more ppm in drainage.What should I do?3y ago

How to water whole pot without soaking leaves and flowers?Made mistake of not filling soil to the top of my pot. Is now difficult to get my watering can in under the canopy to evenly water the whole pot. I could drench from above but is it bad for the plant to get nutes directly onto leaves and flowers.
