Chow_13answered grow question 3 years ago A single sf1000 should be sufficient enough to cover a 2x2 grow area at 12" above the canopy. If your running 2 then I would say dim it to 50% at 12". Or you could go at 100% if they are 18" above the canopy.
Unless your running c02 then you can increase those numbers and get closer.
Under normal home-scale operations( NO CO2 ), cannabis typically needs a PPFD of between
100 - 300 μmol/m2/s during the seedling,
400 - 600 μmol/m2/s during vegetation,
800 - 1,000 μmol/m2/s during flowering.
Cheapest option is to do is download a LUX app for your phone to get an estimate on how much light.
Then look at your PPFD map, take that center value for height and note the lux number, should be between 40,000 and 80,000. And now with 2 lights try to keep that number as even as you can across the canopy.
For example the New version of the SF1000 lights where the leds spacing are closer on the corners has a center PPFD of 972 on center at 12" above the sensor.
So you take a single light and center it in the tent. Then raise it up 12" above the floor. Take your phone and center it on the floor.
Write down then number and use it as a comparison to the maximum you want to see when you measure from the top of your plant.
