Possibly Phosphorus Deficiency or just the genetics

Some strains produce red stems, i haven't grown your strain so I couldn't say if it is a genetics thing or not. Stress from defoliation, topping, incorrect ph, to much nutrients can also cause red stems. If you have stressed her try not to stress her anymore until she starts growing vigorously.

Hey there Dave, red stems is a sing of stress , you're right, but I do remember that you topped 5 (?) internodes from this plant ? so that means the main stem itself was affected, and probably you didnt make a bandage for your plant (yes , you have to do this) , so probably there was a big stress from the shock and a maybe also an infection from the wound. There will be consequences here, hopefully the plant is not stunted. But basically there is nothing you can do, except try to boost the root zone with humic acid or beneficial bacterial.
