If pollinating a female plant with male pollen from a seperate male of the same strain, this is known as "in line breeding" and the plants will be of the same genotype, but not necessarily of the same phenotype. Using male pollen from a hermaphrodite single plant is known as "self seeded". However, hermaohrodites will breed (mostly) hermaphrodite seeds, so this should be avoided. They will not be feminized. Selfed hermaphrodites can also allow undesireable non dominant genes to recombine and become dominant genes, leading to vastly inferior plants. Selfed hermaphrodites are also the first step in reversion back to hemp strains. Genotype is about genetics, phenotype is about expressing those genetics, as determined by environmental/growing factors. There is a lot of confusion about the terms "phenotype" and "genotype". Hope this helps, Organoman.

S1 also know as selfing can be achievied either from one plant, either from one plant and it's clone: What does F1 and S1 mean? Female cannabis plants can produce S1 cannabis seeds through a process known as ‘selfing’. USUALLY this involves taking a cutting/clone from the female mother plant and turning it into a male by a process known as ‘reversion’. This can be done by spraying the female with a chemical such as Silver Thiosulphate. The stress of this causes the female to become a male plant. Pollen is then collected from this plant and used to pollinate the original mother plant. This allows the original female to effectively be ‘self-pollinated’ or ‘selfed’. The cannabis seeds are known as S1 seeds and have the added stability benefit of using the ‘same’ genetics from the male and female. Wich mean you'll get less phenotypic dispersion between the child and the selfed parent. And this don't necessarely rise the hermie ratio. Many seeds you get from the market are actually S1.

And as far as i know this is not a S1 cross as herbal mentioned before, for that also two plants are used, not the same plant. But at least two plants ( from the same batch ofcourse). I would try. To crospolinate the pollen onto another plant to get the F1

Just think of humans: if a woman grows a dick and inpregnates herself(1 gene pool), you think the child will be healty? The woman can grow a dick and impregnate another woman. Then u would have 2 gene pools). Same goes for plants somewhat. Thats the exact reason why some strain are "clone-only". For example the real UK cheese or S5 haze . Cause u cant imbreed a plant te get viable seeds.

Nope, this is known as S1 cross and you will get a wide range of phenotype. for more details about the various kind of cross, hybridation and genetics here a good article to start with: https://dutch-passion.com/en/blog/what-are-f1-f2-s1-cannabis-seeds-n1057
