RQS Easy Bud stuck in preflowering. Could flipping to 12/12 trigger flowering?

Hi growmies! Should I flip my auto to 12/12? First preflowers on day 23. Day 37 now but only new leaves, branches and few pistils, no flowers. CalMag def on day 34, cured with spray. I’m limited in time, 6 weeks max to go. If flipping helps to trigger flowering I’d try it. 🙏

hey there Mr. Incognito, flipping might help flowering, but usually switching to flowering nutrients will work better to trigger flowering. With 6 weeks left on the runway it's going to be tough to cross the finish line growmie . reduce veg nutrients with N and increase flowering nutrients with PK , hopefully that speeds things up. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@GrowingGrannie, thanks for response! I will try to change feeding. The reason I think about flipping to 12/12 is that I have concerns about this particular pheno. I'm afraid it doesn't have autoflowering gene at all. As for reducing light by raising the lamp, does less light promotes sooner transition into flowering? I was thinking she needs a bit more light in preflowering. She's stretching pretty quick, about 2-3 cm per day. The lamp is about 40 cm above the canopy at 60% power with 400 PPFD or so, 26 DLI.

Autoflowers are not affected by a switch to 12/12... they're pre-programmed to flower at a certain time so the light schedule is irrelevant to them! They need an increase of bloom nutes now - even double what you're giving them... and cut back on the grow nutes (if not cut them out altogether!). I'd also raise your lights some if you can - get them up to 24" ... combining the two (nutes and lights) ought to kick start her back into her programmed path and also get her to stretch.... You might have one or two more weeks added to the anticipated harvest date but that's of no consequence... Good luck!
