How is this pre-harvest darkness for 2 days (or more ...)

are you interested in when you leave the plants in the dark for 2 days then the pots should be dry?or do you water the pots before dark and then turn off the lamp for 2 days?

I don't give my plants a dark time before harvest... some of my friends do but only 1 day... and they can't tell me why they do it or what the benefit is so I don't bother. I WILL tell you I let one of my grows dry completely from its flush before I harvested her and I regretted doing that because it was like dry trimming which I absolutely hate (too much loss of trichomes as they tend to break off).
If I HAD to give my plants two days of dark, I would most certainly water them beforehand...

I do 48 hours dark but I continue to water them I do personally believe that my girls benefit from the dark period 🙏💚

I also read that in such cases the nutrients from the plants go back to the ground because they are not used in the dark, now what of these is true? I am interested in the answer of a producer whose diary I see some difference in whether it is worth doing this or a waste of time.

Help!! Do I harvest?About 50% milky, 40% clear trichome heads. But in some minor spots, they are all dark brown/amber. Its supposed to be a Forbidden Cherry Automatic (Dutch Passion), but did not turn purple. I want it to be a bit more relaxing, indica-like. Week 11, outdoor balcony grow.

I see some amber trichomes on the top bud. On the lower buds i do not really see amber trichomes, they are mostly cloudy. I'm currently on day 71 since i planted the seed, according to the breeder it takes 56-63 days until harvest.

I have two drying options for my one plant. Wine fridge with perfect temp or closet with perfect humidity. Which is best?Should I dry my one plant in a wine fridge with a compressor that causes the humidity to fluctuate between 50-70% but can be set to a perfect 60f, or should I dry in a closet with perfect 60% humidity but temp at a steady 74f with no way to lower it? How long after the last flush, do you wait until you chop your plant?
Do you let it dry out so the pot is nice and light before you harvest? Or is a little moisture left in the soil ok? Did last flush 48 hrs ago and I'm itching to chop her down, but still slightly damp soil
