Soil prep

First advice I am seeking please is how should I prepare the soil, is what I have good enough, one is organic the other fertilised can I mix them? (Something on with the way I see some sections of the website on my mobile and had to choose wrong question category…sorry new to it

both your soils are organic. one is amended with organic fertilizers the other one is unfertilized. i’d fill the pots halfway with the batmix and flill the rest with 50/50 light and batmix.

Yes, you can mix the 2 soils, your plants will be very happy.

I wouldn't advise using the fertilised soil... I like to be in control of the nutes I give my plants rather than have some unknown company deciding for me.... but that's just me. Just stay away from soils that say they "feed for 6 months" kind of thing because you'll be giving your plants nutrients they don't need/don't like at different stages... I personally use ProMix as I like the aeration it gives and the mycorrhizae for strong root development.... and I can add nutes when the PLANT needs them (autoflowers, for example, don't need/like any nutes for the first week or two, sometimes three!). Make sure there's good aeration, use fabric pots or airpots - and always plant autos in the pot they're going to finish in... they don't like to be transplanted unless you are an expert at the task...
