Why are my buds airy and thin?

I grew LSD 25 once and it too was disappointing, low yield, airy buds, just a waste of time and is my general conclusion about autos. Have since extensive experimentation stopped growing autos and have never looked back, photoperiod plants are superior in EVERY way.

There are tons of factors that could be at play.. I’ll go ahead and be the one to first point out - some phenos of autos seem to be more airy, or susceptible to being airy if there are any parameters out of whack in the grow. I’ve had several airy auto grows when I ran autos. It turned me away from them in general. Light is key, feeds, environment.. it can be hard to nail it down to one thing just from the diary. I’m an advocate for photoperiods.. they are less tempermental and aren’t on a rigid time frame the entire grow.. Over feeding could have easily been an issue in it

@budshaman hey mate who told you to only use bloom nutes for a few days ?? very poor information indeed!! ideally you need to provide nutrients right up until they (buds) have fattened up and are almost ready to pick , then you stop feeding and let them mature as you flush away the excess salts . by starving them of the nutrients they need of coarse your buds will be airy and lack density

@m0use people who grow under Hids come to check my gardens from time to time and begs me to sell weed, you can have hard, but not all, but you have way more flavours, smells and sometimes even potency under LEDs.

I have that barneys farm LSD auto seed as well in my fridge, I have not grown it out yet. Bud thickness tends to be related to light intensity and type of light. HID lighting gives rock hard nugs and LED's is harder to get. I don't understand the relationship between it but its what I've seen. Not to say u can't get them with led's, just a bit harder to nail down. excess feeding can also cause it to grow to fast and not be a dense as well. Plants are still looking nice.
